National statistics show that for the fourth consecutive year, auction industry sales have grown significantly from $195.3 billion in 2002 to $257.2 billion in 2006. If that trend continues throughout 2007, live auction industry revenues will reach $264.8 billion.

The fastest growing auction specialties are all related to real estate. From 2003 to 2006, residential real estate is the fastest growing sector, growing in revenue at an astounding 39.2%! That revenue increase is attributable to consumers’ increased awareness and acceptance of the auction method of marketing and selling real estate.
